Participants’ profile: youngsters – 18-25, interested into active youth participation frames, highly motivated to be part of an intercultural learning frame and to work on youth unemployment issues.
Groups’ profile: 5 participants / group – 2 M, 2 F – aged 18-25 and 1 group leader
Re:ACTIVISM is a youth exchange, bringing together 30 youngsters, from 6 countries, youngsters, youngsters acting as actors for change and promoting the awareness raising of the hosting and sending communities related to the negative effects produced by youth unemployment, both for the youngsters personal and professional development and also for the future development of the communities, using the social activism methods as a tool. In an intercultural frame, young volunteers are coming to start up actions aiming at supporting their peers who are either victims of youth unemployment or part of the risk groups. Not only working with awareness raising, but also through implementing practical activities with the local youngsters’ support – teach in and flash mob events - Re:ACTIVISM comes with the youth’s answers (re: ) to the problems the European societies are facing nowadays, perfectly integrating the 2010’s priorities in terms of combating poverty and social exclusion and 2011’s priorities as the European Year of Volunteering also in terms of social entrepreneurship and social innovation.
